Hello Educators! September has plenty of events and themes to utilize in your daily instruction. Because friendships can be tricky in the middle grades, I like to highlight examples of true friendship from some of my favorite books.
But first, here is a look at our recently completed One Word Memoirs. This is a simple activity I
incorporate into our memoir unit. Have students think about one word that best describes who they are as a person. Give them each a plain note card, some art supplies, and allow them some time to discuss with their classmates!
